SG&A Scope of Work/Challenges
Steve Greene was an active participant and subconsultant to RH & Associates during a week-long value engineering exercise conducted on the Portland to Milwaukie Light Rail Project – December 2009.

Success Story
The Value Engineering exercise was hugely successful and yielded several viable cost saving ideas including at grade crossings, bridge span reduction, pedestrian circulation changes, a test shaft for drilled shaft factor of safety reduction on the Willamette River Bridge, the elimination of an elevator at a pedestrian bridge, and parking garage changes. The value engineering savings recommended amounted to nearly $60 million.
