PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Project Manager, Airport LRT Project, Salt Lake City, UT

Project Description
This project was 6-miles long, both corridor running and street running, included six station platforms, one park and ride facility, three water crossing bridges, and a 1,200-foot long bridge over an existing UPRR mainline and commuter rail corridor.

SG&A Scope of Work/Challenges
Between June 2008 and October 2010, SG&A provided the design Project management and administration for the Airport LRT Project. This project is on-going and currently in the construction phase. The Utah Transit Authority procured this project as a CM/GC project where designers, contractors, and owners work collaboratively to solve problems and seek innovative approaches to challenges. SG&A was a subconsultant to Wilbur Smith Associates, providing the day to day management and administration for the project.

Success Story
This Project was very successful despite Salt Lake City’s significant scope increases associated with the City’s interest in an urban enhancement program. Overall, the Project was completed well under budget and on schedule.
